Evaluating The Toronto Raptors Pre Season

Pre Season Record: 4-4
The pre season so far has been ok I guess from a fans perspective. From a coaches perspective, it's probably been pretty productive. The Raptors chose to keep their roster slim and trim, focusing on only signed players with guaranteed contracts and not inviting anyone to participate in training camp. This put a lot of strain on the players but also allowed the coaching staff to really focus on line ups and possible substitutions. Now Sam Mitchel and the rest of his crew have a really good idea of what to expect for their regular season line up.
All Busted Up - NBA Injuries Before the Regular Season
Submitted by Jared on October 10, 2008 - 11:28am.I'm truly surprised by the amount of injured players the NBA has right now. All summer I kept hearing about people getting injured and now that they're actually playing, it's getting to the point were these 'athletes' should be wearing football equipment. These highly conditioned massive athletes are dropping like flies practically everyday due all kinds of ailments that are either self inflicted or accidental.
The East Vs The Big Green Machine
Submitted by Jared on September 24, 2008 - 8:19pm.Oh what a difference a year can make. To quote the Guess Who "seasons change and so do I, you need not wonder whyyyyyyy" and by 'I' I mean the collective thoughts of eastern conference teams addressing the concern to go toe to toe in the playoffs with the Big Green Machine, the Boston Celtics. Two years ago the Boston Celtics finished off the 2006 -2007 season with the second worst record in the league and it looked as though Paulie Pierce was going to be traded while the team was going to be the New Kids on the Rebuilding Block for their upcoming campaign.
The Off Season Blows.....

...blows like a fox! I guess what I'm trying to say is that it has its pros and cons. With this being the unofficial 'ain't shit to talk about' portion of the off season, I thought I'd write to you about the painful rehab and withdraws I go through during what is known as the Off Season.
If your favourite team sucked ass the previous season then the off season is like your saving grace. A time of new beginnings and a shinning ray of hope. Forget about that pathetic record because next season's where it's at!
