What can be said about Gilbert Arenas that hasn't already been said? Well, seeing as he wont shut up, lots I guess. Am I the only one that can't stand this guy? Every thing he says pretty much rubs me the wrong way. His on the court personality matches his off the court statements far too often. Shoot first, think second. Don't worry about anyone else and make sure to come up with some lame excuse whenever you do something stupid.

The latest gong show from the Arenas arena is that he opted out of his contract to test the free agent market, only to re-up with the WIZ FOR 16 MILLION LESS then what was originally offered. He claims he was doing his team a favour by not tying them up financially somewhere down the road. What a Saint. Seems to me he thought he could get more somewhere else so he'd let his team sweat it out, only to piss them off enough so that they offer him LESS than what he could have received. Somewhere around that point, reality then sets in and he discovers that no one else wants him. This is probably due to his selfish point guard play and injury woes so he goes crawling back. It's reported that all of this went down without his agent present....Agent Zero....can you taste the irony?

I guess what he's saying is that the team needed his help negotiating his contract. This of course is because they don't know how to crunch numbers or predict future costs and revenue. They must have slipped up by offering him more then the team could afford. Good thing you were paying attention Gilbert.

If this was the case, why didn't he just counter offer the initial $127 million dollar offer with a lower one if he was planning on staying anyways? I have a feeling this guy never knows what the hell he's talking about anyways. I never really liked the guy and never knew why....until of course the"Jose Calderon is not an all-star" rant on his blog. I also recall a disturbing image of him sitting at home nursing his injury while cheating at
Halo 3....what a loser.
